A Note From Pastor Gordon - Online Worship Only Sep 20

This post is outdated - Please read the current note from Pastor Gordon.

Dear Oberlin United Methodist Church Congregation and Worshipers,

Due to everyone’s health being important to us and to protect everyone’s health from the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, our committees have met and have decided to have worship online only. While this may be upsetting, please remember we are one church worshiping in many living rooms, and that people all over the world are joining us online to worship. Below this email is a link to download the bulletin for this Sunday’s worship service. While this may be difficult for some as we are a close knit community, here are some tips to worship at home in many living rooms.

  • Have your notepad, pen to take notes for moments in the message that speak to you.
  • Have your Bible out and ready so you can follow along with the scriptures
  • Light a candle to be reminded that Christ is with us and people all over the world are joining for worship
  • Join in the conversation and chat with everyone on the live stream – all you need to is sign into YouTube with your google account.

Please continue to take care of yourself and each other and, we hope to see you online for worship tomorrow morning.

Blessings,

Gordon Pettibone

Pastor

Oberlin United Methodist Church Staff Parish
